Pineapple Express Train Tour: The two-mile, 20 minute fully narrated train tour is educational and informative. Along the route, you’ll learn about the history of pineapple and hear the story of James Dole, who pioneered the pineapple industry in Hawaii. Trains depart every half-hour between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, weather permitting.
Plantation Garden Tour: Here, you’ll get an up close and personal look at the wide variety of crops being grown on the North Shore–such as pineapple, bananas, coffee, cacao, mango, papaya, and many others. You’ll also learn about the plantation villages and the contract laborers who came from all over the world to work in Hawaii’s sugarcane and pineapple fields.

TheBus: From Waikiki, take bus 8, 19, 20, 47, or 58 to Ala Moana Shopping Center. These busses run every 8 to 10 minutes.
From Ala Moana, transfer to bus 52 “Wahiawa-Circle Island” and get off at Dole Plantation. The bus ride takes approximately an hour and forty-five minutes.

By car: From Waikiki, take H1 West to H2 North. Continue to Kamehameha Highway (99). Dole Plantation is located at 64-1550 Kamehameha Highway. Approximately a 40-minute drive from Waikiki.
